Producers with podcasts should work with their Content Marketing Producer Manager ( pm@pbs.org ) leading up to the premiere of each season. Discussions will include:  Funder review.  PBS will need to review and approve any new funder entity that was not previously approved for broadcast content. Your Producer Manager will guide you through this process. With funders, producers should:  Ensure there is no editorial influence or perceived connection to editorial content. Preserve the non-commercial nature of the podcast while maximizing funder support.  Be transparent about content funder sources (both in the podcast and on website pages)  Editorial.  Content should follow the same guidelines as broadcast when it comes to offensive language or other issues. Producers should flag questionable content for their Producer Manager for review in advance of publishing.  Presentation on  pbs.org .  Producer websites should include a page or section that showcases their podcast content for their audience. Include:  SEO-friendly descriptions, transcripts, and other useful metadata to attract organic search traffic and enhance the user experience.   Provide comprehensive information on other platforms (YouTube, Apple, Spotify, etc.) where the podcast is available, for user convenience. The use of logos for these platforms is permitted, but all platforms should be positioned equally. Avoid anything that may be misperceived as a promotional relationship between the show, or the host, and a specific podcast service.  Marketing opportunities on PBS platforms.
