## Overview

Membership Vault (MVault) is a membership registry system that enables stations to provide conditional access to premium PBS digital features. Through MVault, stations can manage the relationships between its members and online offers, and acts as a gatekeeper (essentially determine thumbs-up or thumbs-down access per member) for online digital services. For example, a service such as Passport queries MVault to determine if a viewer is allowed access. MVault makes it easy for stations to adopt new offerings without additional work.

- **Membership has its privileges.** MVault provides premium PBS digital offerings to your qualified members. This is a huge benefit as more and more people are choosing to consume content online.
- **Explore new avenues for expanding your membership base.** MVault helps you tap into and stay connected to your online audience. As the digital ecosystem continues to evolve, viewers are using various donation methods to support their local station.
- **Easy set-up.** Even if your technical resources are limited or non-existent, MVault is designed to be fully operational and easy to integrate with your existing membership management system.

## Requirements

To use MVault, you must have a PBS Account. [Learn how to get a PBS Account](https://docs.pbs.org/space/PLUS/5505080/How+to+Create+a+PBS+Account)

## Membership Vault Dashboard

The [MVault Dashboard](https://mvault.console.pbs.org/admin/) serves as a quick reference guide for station-specific membership information. Each icon represents a filter that, when clicked, displays results for the corresponding category. For instance, if you click *Activated*, only the memberships that have activated display. **[Access the MVault console](https://mvault.console.pbs.org/admin/)**** **

| | **Category** | **Definition** |
| --- | --- | --- |
| A | **Total** | Total number of your station's membership records, regardless of offer access eligibility. |
| B | **Recently Added** | [Membership](https://docs.pbs.org/space/PLUS/5505101/Memberships) records created in the last seven days. |
| C | **Provisional** | Members flagged for station approval. Provisional status does not affect offer access. Useful for making sure payments have gone through. You can go back and change the status if payment was rejected. If using bulk import such as Allegiance, you don't really need to use this feature. |
| D | **Activated ** | Members who have completed the activation process. |
| E | **Currently Active** | Members with offer access, based on: 1) Activation Date is populated; 2) Status=On; and 3) Today's date falls within the Start and Expire dates. Note: This does not include members within Grace Period. |
| F | **Expiring Soon** | Memberships that will expire within the next 30 days. |
| G | **[Grace Period](https://docs.pbs.org/space/PLUS/5505101/Memberships#Grace-period)**** ** | Members within the 90-day Grace Period, following their Expire Date. |
| H | **Expired** | Memberships that have passed the Expire Date. |
| I | **Possible Duplicates** | Multiple memberships with matching email addresses. MVault duplicates may occur when the station's donation form logic and/or CRM/Integration logic are not updating existing MVault records, but rather creating a new MVault record for the member for each renewal. |
| J | **Possible Temporary Membership IDs** | This is useful for stations using the PBS donation form, which generates new MVault records using “temp-id” as the temporary Membership ID prefix. |
| K | **Recent activity** | A current list of the most recent activity in your station's Membership Vault account. |
| L | **History/Expiring Memberships** | - All recent activity in your station's Membership Vault account.
- All memberships that are about to expire |
| M | **All History** | A record of the all activity in your station's Membership Vault account. |
