> ⚠️ The Topics field is a legacy field and is no longer used within PBS GA/KIDS platforms. Because there are a few remaining dependencies on Topics (specific, external Media Manager API users), there are no immediate plans to remove the field. But it may be considered in the future.

## Overview

A Topic resource represents an object from PBS Taxonomy. A Topic is identified by unique ID. Topics support a parent-children relationship.

Topics is a **read-only, deprecated** resource. Only the List and Get endpoints are available.
