Effective January 8, 2018, PBS is allowing producers to insert a 15-second card/video to recognize non-corporate funders into their streaming full-length video assets.
If you would like to use a 15-second funder pod to recognize the non-corporate funders, please contact PBS at NonCorpFunderPod@pbs.org six weeks prior to air/streaming date to get started. We will provide you with access to a Box folder for file delivery and a form to submit along with your files.
You will be required to complete the Funder Request Form and deliver the funder media files to PBS at least four weeks before each episode airs or streams (whichever comes first).
The card/video needs to meet PBS streaming media specifications:

- MPEG-4 (.mp4)

- 1920 x 1080 frame size (16:9)

- Progressive scan (no interlacing)

*Must include at least 20 extra frames at the start and end for editing purposes
- AAC codec (AAC-LC or HE-AAC)

NOTE: This is being offered only for new programs and episodes. If you’d like these to be added to past videos, PBS will charge producers for the time to edit and process the new files. Edits will also be scheduled after new episodes of current programs are completed.
PBS will make every effort to include all submitted funder pods but cannot guarantee that all videos will include funders in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.
