What does publishing a page mean?

A published page is a page that is visible in a browser and is viewable by users who visit your website. It will remain visible until it is unpublished.

How to publish your page

There are three ways to publish your page in Bento:
  1. Publish from the Bento Administration dashboard
  2. Publish from the page
  3. Schedule the publish time and date

In this section you will learn how to publish using both methods.

Schedule the publication date and time

Bento gives you the option to schedule the day and time that your page will be published and expire.  Page scheduling appears near the top of your Bento page in the Admin view.

Some tips

  •  If you assign a publication date and time but leave the publication end date blank, your page will remain live until you unpublish it.
  • This functionality is optional.  If you plan to publish your pages immediately, do not use the scheduling option.
  • The Publication date and time indicates when you want your page to go live (Figure 1.1).
  • The Publication end date and time indicates when you want your page removed from the website no longer available for viewing (Figure 1.2).

  • You can select a day to publish or expire your page in one of the following ways:
    1. Manually type the date in the following format: YYYY-MM-DD.
    2. Click the Today link to choose the current day.
    3. Click the calendar icon to surface a calendar picker from which you can click the day and month you want.
  • You can select the time you want to publish or expire your page in one of the following ways:
